JLCPCB - PCB edges
Tantalum:
Hello
I wanted to order a PCB I designed on JLCPCB, but the JLCPCB Gerbers viewer shows me a different preview as the Kicad one.
I correctly defined the edges of my PCB and also an inner zone which needs to be cut out (dark green), but I don't know why, JLCPCB doesn't take it into account:
Have I missed something???
I have a second question.
When you order a PCB on JLCPCB you can select how many "different designs" there are present. But I only can upload 1 gerbers project.
Is this option not intended to allow to manufacture several different PCB projects in the same order???
Thank you for your answers.
Mr. Scram:
You can order multiple dissimilar PCB's in one order, but you'll get charged extra. Their pricing is already very low as it stands and this probably prevents them from making a loss on the whole thing.
Tantalum:
But how do I upload the different gerbers files?
If I merge all the files of the different PCBs in one folder, zip it and upload it, JLCPCB doesn't give me a preview of the different PCBs, so I don't really know if it is the right way to do.
Bud:
Pretty sure they mean different designs on a single Gerbers set. Separated say with mouse bites.
hamster_nz:
I had a PCB with some internal cutouts - the preview showed it as filled in, but it came cut out as expected.
