Jonard DP-140 cleaning, almost too embarrassed to ask

I have both the DP-140 and larger DP-100 hand desoldering pumps. The larger DP-100 comes apart easily for cleaning but for the life of me I cannot work out how to open the DP-140. I fear I might break it. Anyone has experience with this pump? I am surely missing something simple.
