So, my first repair that I got video of with an ADSM302 scope is done (I did a bunch of repairs before this but no microscope).

Here is part of the repair, the main part where I solder the new card reader on was for some reason corrupted (think I unplugged the scope to put away before stopping the recording)

Anyways, as you can obviously see, I need a PCB holder and really want an Omnivise.  Are there any fake/clone ones just like it that are just as heavy but cheaper?  I've heard there is but I just can't find any.  Or is this one of those things that no clone/fake comes even close to it?

My current equipment/supplies:

-Hakko FX-888D
-Hakko 850D Rework station (bought used for $260CAD, came with new heating element installed)
-Andonscope ADSM-302

the rest of the supplies are MG Chemicals low melt solder paste, chip quick flux, etc.

Haven't soldered in years, just got back into it and in the first month made about $375 just by placing an ad for video game console repairs on a local buy/sell site.

Anyways, if you watch the video I'd love to take some thoughts/criticism/advice on if I can do anything better (other than getting a holder).  That was not a board I wanted to use the heat rework station on as it had a small ribbon cable, 1-2 small connectors and a headphone jack as well.  The other repairs I've done were HDMI ports on a PS4 and a basic hard drive swap on an XBOX One.  What's awesome is that I'm still getting quite a bit of requests for repairs out of nowhere, usually 1-3 every week for now.  But the word-of-mouth  business is what I'm counting on.

The one purchase mistake I made was a very cheap set of tweezers for like $9cad, they couldn't grab anything without bending.  Purchased a pair of Hakko tweezers (CHP 5B-SA) and damn what a difference it made for grabbing things.

obviously you won't be able to put the vice under the andonstar and look at your work.
I have the amazon vice, it's a nice one to soldier, but I can't see how I could use it under the microscope !
I often use these cheap phone pcb holders, these are small, but works fine under the andonstar.

I completely forgot to mention, I'm building a desk to work on so I plan to get an arm to put the microscope on, at that point the omnivise could easily fit under it.

I'm just curious as to if it's actually worth it or not.
