Keith monks cr-503 machine how to use?

I won this machine off ebay, as i wanted to get a good machine to clean records, but im not sure how to use it? I added some alcohol and distilled water to the single pot but nothing seem to be functioning.

The chap i bought it off said hes not sure how it works as it was his brothers and he sadly died...

When i turn it on the vaccum seems to come on, theres also the nylon thread but it seems to not take it through the tube, also nothing happens when i turn it on it judt rotates, the fluid doesnt come through?

Is there something im missing do i need to check for blockages, if someone can help that would be much appreciated as it seems for now i have a expensive paperweight with no idea on how to use it
