Keysight ADS - Import Component

Hey guys,

Can you please tell me how can I add a component into Keysight ADS 2016 ?

I want to use the BFR181 in my design, but the RF BJT in ADS has an older version that is manufactured by Siemens.

I want to use the newer model fron Infineon http://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/rf-and-wireless-control/rf-transistor/low-noise-si-transistor-up-to-25-ghz/BFR181/productType.html?productType=ff80808112ab681d0112ab6fd2dc27f2#ispnTab7

I downloaded the zip, but I don't know what to do with it because i cannot import it like a normal library. Any ideas ?

By all means ask Keysight.

It looks to me like they just copied the sub circuit files to the folder "Model for ADS2011".
So copy that folder to your project lib folder and rename it to bfr181 or something.
Then you should be able to open it as a schematic.  It is just a SPICE model with some extra inductor and capacitor elements added.
I found you have to do File->Design Parameters and change the simulation model from "built-in component" to "subnetwork".  Then you can place it in your schematics as a component from your library.

Do you think my final results will be so much different if I am using the Siemens part instead of the Infineon one ? After all, Infineon is just the rebranded version of Siemens so it should be the same.

I would think they would be the same, unless they are using a different process now.
