The answer to the question is there are no defined frequency limits for beginners. The limit depends on the logic levels and the impedances. Schmitt trigger inputs are more resistant to noise and transmission line reflections than standard inputs.

Thank God this was for begineers, i didn´t get most of the coments
well. 1st thing 1st. you have to know what "frequency" is, and then you have to know what happen if two or more different frequency and amplitud mix together. at the same time you need to know what "capacitance" and "inductance" means. and if you go advanced, then you can look into what "reflection" is. as mr albert said... use your imagination. i'm also still struggling ;)
