learning how to use my Rigol DS1104Z's features, need help

I am trying to reverse engineer a communications protocol between two black boxes.

The reader has an inductive coil and the sensor has a mating coil. I have put a man in the middle coil circuit, and the reader communicates with the sensor successfully.

It appears as a 7kHz 34V peak to peak sine wave, sampled as show here: [attach=1]. The communications start after pressing the trigger and last less than 5 seconds (having trouble getting an exact timing).

I tried the record feature, but captures way too little (2 frames), so I know I am doing something wrong.

I am assuming that I will see something like: [attachimg=1].

I am looking to trigger continuous recording, until memory is exhausted and after the first trigger event.

The whole signal is about a second long.
