The problem may be delivery time.

I would look at the complete parts list and buy ALL of the inexpensive parts (resistors, capacitors, switches, pushbuttons, LEDs, etc) in one order.  The specialized components, used for one or two experiments, might get ordered just ahead of the experiment.

Digikey has a shopping list:

Over the years, I have bought resistor and capacitor assortment kits from Jameco.  It's nice to have basic components on hand and well organized.  The parts are a lot cheaper on eBay and if a storage method can be found, this will be cheaper and just as good as the Jameco assortments

There are several kits at Jameco.

I get my parts in 3 or 4 days from DigiKey.  I don't tend to buy off of eBay, I have enough problems getting my stuff to work to be having to think about fakes.  And delivery from China can take a VERY long time.

Even with the fast delivery from DigiKey, my short attention span will drift before the parts get here.  I need a good stock of general stuff sitting right here.

I think your list will be very helpful.  A lot of people ask about the parts for LTAOE so maybe it will get promoted to a 'sticky'.
