led bulbs
glinjik:
hi i have led bulbs throughout my house but what I've noticed is they blow very often i have also the spiral eco bulbs as well they never blow what I've noticed is we get light flicker usually in the evening the voltage at 9 this morning was 240.5vac now its 2401.6vac evening it can get as low as 210vac im wondering is the flicker coming from voltage spikes? Thinking about this is it a possibility to add y caps to the bulbs to try to avoid these spikes blowing the bulbs just a theory as I'm writing this I've got the fluke on auto hold monitoring the vac its just jumped to 238.9vac
wraper:
Probably you just have crappy bulbs with no real LED driver. Point smartphone camera towards a bulb and see if there is any flickering on display.

Just tried the camera thing in video and still photo 26mp camera cant see a flicker I'm using bulbs of all brands the one that blew today is старт. сделано в Китае ;D

I'm working through replacing led lamps in each room with recessed WWA LED strip.
Warm white , Cool White, Amber.
Unlike your typical LED lamp that runs very hot. An LED strip can last for 10+ years if you keep them running cool.
