Need to buy BP2309 Offline PFC'd Buck LED driver
« on: January 04, 2020, 01:55:13 am »
Hi
We wish to buy the BP2309 LED driver

https://datasheetspdf.com/parts/BP2309.pdf?id=1022012

But we cant find it on digikey Mouser etc.
How do we buy these in  1000's?
There is no western equivalent.

Even findchips.com dont have a price for it.

Its also on BigClive

Bright Power's product page doesn't seem to mention it. Maybe it's no longer an active product and you'll need to consider a replacement.

Thanks, interestingly, 17:01 of the above video shows the MOV being placed downstream of the LC input filter. The MOV has a approx 100n  film capacitor across it...thus the MOV will quench the LC ring at power up and this will dramatically reduce its life...(theres no big 'lytic to quench  it as its PFC'd) .....the conveniently low 160mA input fuse will blow.
This seems like a way of getting the tube to fail early in its life wouldnt you say?.....so  customers then just go and buy another...more profit.
That MOV should be a TVS...the MOV should actually be right at the front end.
