Looking for a specific connector

Hi,

I have a PCB with a this specific socket: http://ie.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-headers/7100122/

I want to make a PCB with a matching through hole plug connector that will plug straight into this socket, however I can't find this plug anywhere!

All I can see are screw terminal blocks like this: http://ie.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-terminal-blocks/7100154/?origin=PSF_435707|rel

. I don't know if I'm missing something here, but I would have assumed a plug terminal existed.

Has anyone seen a plug that would fit this connector?

They are really cable connectors not interboard connectors, usually used on rail.

I know, but I'm doing a run of 200 boards and the thoughts of cutting,  ferruling and screwing in wires is making me sick.  Much better just to plug in.

I would say that is the plug that fits your socket---the squarish pieces look the same.
If you need a solder connected plug you are stiff out of luck!

It is, I've checked the diagrams.

But my only option is to get mount a row of pin headers, then insert the header pins into the screw terminals and tighten. Not very professional.

If anyone has an alternative I'd  live to hear it.

Well I buy in the pcb with the socket (in the first link) so changing it would be more hassle than its worth.

I thought it would be easy to find a matching through hole plug for my own board, but I got nowhere.

no option of buying the board without ? can you hot air it off quickly or are there other parts too close.

Again its the tradeoff of time and effort.

I'd have to disassemble the enclosure, remove the board, desolder, resolder and test x 200.

Plus I've voided the warranty.

Most of the time manufactures will have a "mating connectors" section in the description (and sometimes you can find that info on digikey as well). For your case, the only mating connector (by TE) seems to be the 284506-4, which is not mounted on a PCB...

I would compare the drawings of TE's 284506-4 and the one you found by Phoenix Contact. They have some differences, just make sure that they will be compatible.
