Title: Making USB type C cable from adapter
Post by: Rutherford on December 29, 2016, 01:32:11 am
I recently bought this USB 2.0 Type C > USB 2.0 type A adapter, my intention was to use iy with my Xiaomi MI5 as a Flash Drive reader.

However the cable I bought doesn't appear to be OTG. I tried adapting this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnSNd0hL2Q&t=250s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnSNd0hL2Q&t=250s) to my situation but I can't.

The resistor on this cable is 5.07KOhms.

Anyways here are some photos: http://imgur.com/a/95EbV (http://imgur.com/a/95EbV)

Is this cable modification to OTG possible/reasonable or not.

Thank you all, all feedback wellcome
