Unable to program an stm32 in a custom circuit
« on: August 27, 2023, 09:12:06 am »
Hi there.
This project of mine is from before covid but, including an stm32 you should know why I'm bringing it up now.
So basically I had a test with a bluepill for a system that would write on a epaper/eink display (waveshare) the contend of two eeproms, fetching specific content for each day.

Then I transfered the design onto a pcb, thinking about using an stm32 directly (got it in '22 from digikey or farnell, can't remember) and so I did, searching online for how the mcu is wired on the said pill. And I did.

The problem is that the mcu is dead: when powered no clk signal is available, and the stlink doesn't recognize the board.
So first thing: do you think there's anything wrong in the circuit? I honestly don't know better. If not I think it's my soldering job that sucks (although I buzzed everything I could think of and it works fine).

Second of all, since this is one of my first really thought through schematics on kicad, doo you have any suggestions to make my circuit schematic better?
cheers.
