MCP73831+uC+dummy load-->LiPo tester problem

Hi,
It's my first post here, so I'd like to say HELLO.
Thanx, for great resource of info.
 
I'm designing (simple) LiPo battery tester, and have problem with MCP73831 (actualy I put down 3 of those already ).
I've build attached circuit on breadbord, don't know the reason but, I every odd time when I connect battery MCP goes dead.

Probably, I've made some simple mistake, but have no idea where.
I'm not EE just the hobbyst, so can you help me find it out? Mayby some changes in schematic, but I prefer to stick with MCP73831 (2 left  )
