Measure lumen output from flashlight.
« on: August 28, 2020, 08:45:31 pm »
How exactly would one go about measuring the lumen output from an LED flashlight? I have done a quick google search and found there are pieces of test equipment which can measure LUX. Not to be an idiot but is there a simple way, or simple piece of equipment which can measure lumens? Yes I realize what the difference between lux and lumens is.

For some crude measurements, there is the Ceilingbounce Android app

https://github.com/zakwilson/ceilingbounce

Requires an integrating sphere of some sort.

That CeilingBounce seems to be a very crude setup of the way to go.
