What’s this component?

So I got a huge lot of random components recently, and I found these. Tried to Google the number on them but only got a Kitchen Maid product. Could someone help me identify this?

It says KSMPSA 20 and nothing else. I think it’s a FET, but I’m not exactly sure and don’t have a component tester.

Motorola MPSA20 ?  NPN bipolar small-signal transistor, not a FET.

Hm. Wonder why the baggie they came in was labelled FET. Must’ve been a mistake.

images/f you are going to buy surplus lots of semi-conductors a good "identifier/tester" is essential: I have used an Atlas DCA55 for nearly 10 years now and cannot say enough good about it--essential to ID unknown discrete components, and for selecting components with matching characteristics when necessary. It's $85 to $90 in the U.S. depending on where you shop but worth every penny...
