my first oscilloscope

im not sure if i need one but i see most people in my hobby circle have one
i have a few questions

1. what will the main usage be for?
2. i have seen the ones you can buy the use a usb and your pc screen are they any good?
3. if 2 = no what is good for my first basic oscilloscope

sorry to seem thinck but the more i view tutorials and classes they seem pretty usefull

Only you will know that. Typically scopes are used to look at signals in time domain :)

Not as a primary scope. Or as a primary, if you use it very rarely.

3. if 2 = no what is good for my first basic oscilloscope
