Name the connector
« on: August 14, 2019, 02:06:46 pm »
Hi guys.

I am having trouble finding the wire harness for a UART port.

I have bought two connectors so far. So time for asking :)

The connector you cans see in the pics near the receptacle is 1MM pitch so at least I know I need a 0.8MM one.

Do you guys think that a JST SUR will work?

If so anyone have an idea where to find them (crimped and not by the 1000s)

Agree that it is something like a JST connector.  Relatively generic and widely available.

However, a CRITICAL detail is the PITCH of the pins.
EXACTLY what is the space between the pins?
1mm? 1.27mm? 2mm?, 2.54mm?  etc.

Also, that keyway may indicate a custom connector.
You may have to take the standard JST mating connector and file a groove for that key.
