In the last months I've been playing with op-amps and a PSU with negative voltage would have been very useful. So it's time to build a simple linear PSU and leave the wall warts behind.
I think I don't need something very fancy, so I decided to copy the Elenco XP720 (+-1.25V to 15V /1A and fixed 5V /3A outputs) with some changes.
a) 220 VAC input.
b) Additional fixed 3.3V with a LM1086
c) Dual tracking without op-amps.
d) 10 turns potentiometer to adjust voltage.
e) Floating ground / earth switch.
f) Digital voltmeter with rotary switch for output selection.
g) Component replacement due to availability and costs. (BD438 instead of 2N6124 and 2N3906 instead of A70)
h) Heatsink inside the case.
i) Banana plugs in a triangle arrangement.
Any advice would be most welcome! I attached Kicad schematic.
