Hi guys.
Recently my old dental ceramic furnace broke down. Since I like tinkering with electronics and reparing them I wanted to fix it (also because this things are quite expensive). The furnace actually works perfect except the screen. It has an old dot matrix lcd which after a while started showning horizontal black lines. I narrowed the problem down to the ribbon cable which connects the lcd controller to the actual panel. But here is the issue. I looked online to find a replacement cable but I found out this has some really specific dimensions. I has to be:
- 200 pin (yes I wrote 200 not 20)
- 0.3 mm pitch
- a type (which as I understand has the connections on both ends of the cable on the same side)

Most probable cause isn't the connector, Is the conductive glue who fix on board, Try discovering the region where the problem fix by applying some pressure on regions of the connector, and then apply some heat on that region, In worst case scenario you will need special conductive glue, that is only conductive in one axis ( I forgot the name )
