Need help identifying a component used in Changan car

Hello overyone,

I need help identifying a characteristics:
- it's in a plastic box.
- dimensions : approximately 12mm long, 12mm width, 3mm hight.
- inside, there is a metal disc
Here are some photos of the component before and after opening the box
Dimensions: approximately 12 mm length, 12 mm width, and 3 mm height.

That would be a piezoelectric transducer.  Most commonly used to make beep sounds.

They are a very basic device which bends when a voltage is placed across them.  Make this voltage alternate and the bending alternates, creating sound.

This one is packaged to protect it from environmental factors.  Cars are known for being challenging environments ... in more ways than one.
