Hi there, no electronics knowledge at all I'm afraid, so please frame your answers as though addressing a small spotted terrier.... I'm keen but limited. At work there's a Commax DP-SS intercom handset close to my head. I'm hoping to significantly lower the ringtone using mechanical means, i.e glue foam to a speaker or something along those lines. I opened the unit... very proud of that .... & found no discernible speaker at all. Please see pics. I don't have the knowledge to do anything fancy. if handsets come with a volume adjuster I could possibly wire that in instead. I'd also be capable of throwing the current one out the window but that's not ideal. In terms of compromise, I don't even need to be able to hear/speak to the front door guest. A quiet ringtone would prompt me to walk to the door (without even speaking to the person). Any dumbed down assistance much appreciated. Thank you
