Hello all, It is my first time here, very excited to see such a great forums about electronics for beginners. For the project I did the parts such as laser cut parts and LEDs and resistors and a switch. I have an infrared sensor and I am looking for a way to use it in a project/assignment model, I need to know if it is possible to use the sensor for a set LEDs, and if it can work with 9v batteries, if not how can I connect it using a plug. Any help would be highly appreciated . :-+ |

Anyone please? |

Obviously, this thing has got three wires. Two of them most probably would be used to connect a power source, the third one would be the ouput. Read the documentation to find out the rated supply voltage and output specification, and the assignment to the wires. In case you don't have a documentation, it's a guessing game. It might work with a supply voltage from 3V to 24V, depending on the target application, and may output any kind of most probably digital (on/off) signal. It might get destroyed if you apply the supply voltage to the wrong wires, or if the supply voltage is too high. |

Two of the wires are blue and brown. In many parts of the world these colors are used for neutral and live. The thing might expect 240V AC. |

Thank you very much '' capt bullshot'', I have the document but its kinda confusing as I do not understand to which one I must connect the battery and which ones are for LEDs. I have attached them here , also switched the + and - of the battery to see if its working but nothing happened same for LEDs, nothing again.(attached) |
