Obviously, this thing has got three wires. Two of them most probably would be used to connect a power source, the third one would be the ouput. Read the documentation to find out the rated supply voltage and output specification, and the assignment to the wires.
In case you don't have a documentation, it's a guessing game.
It might work with a supply voltage from 3V to 24V, depending on the target application, and may output any kind of most probably digital (on/off) signal. It might get destroyed if you apply the supply voltage to the wrong wires, or if the supply voltage is too high.
