Hi all,
Long time lurker, I am a second engineering student and searched the forum for similar threads but did not find anything.
I am looking at half-bridge series resonant inverter research papers on in induction heating. I just would like to know I am understanding its operation correctly.
The AC mains is rectified to DC and passed through the inverter that switches at high frequencies (high frequency pulses) which produces high frequency magnetic waves that cause eddy currents and hysteresis is the cooking pot causing it to heat up?
I can see there are some variations to the circuit design but the idea is the same?
Thanks
JS
