I'm looking to get an Andonstar AD407 for smd soldering. As a significant side benefit I would like a better way to photograph magnified view of smd boards. Currently I do this through the eye piece of my AmScope SE400-Z. It's a difficult aiming process that is limited to very small areas on a board.
I am curious how it is to solder under the Andonstar AD407. The optics look very close to the base leaving you little working room. Any opinions, experience, or advice along the digital microscope lines is greatly appreciated. Budget for me is around $200.
Thanks - Jerry
