Powersupply + Input via network cable

Hi there,

I have a question regarding network cables.

But first, here is what I am doing: I am building two devices. Device1 is basically just a powersupply that generates all the voltage rails I need (+15V,-15V,+5V analog, +5V digital, AGND, DGND) and it also has an optical ADAT input.

Device2 is connected to device1 via some cable and recieves the ADAT-Stream. It decodes the stream, uses DACs to get audio signals, mixes them together and outputs everything to a headphone amplifier. In fact multiple devices2 will be connected to device1.

This is meant to be a monitoring solution when recording audio with multiple musicians. I just route out audio 8 channels via ADAT and every musician can do his headphone mix himself.

There is commercial products that do this. They pretty much all use CAT5 network cables to connect the external devices to the central hub and the external devices don't have their own power supply. So the power must be drawn through that network cable.

Now here is my question:

If I run my voltage rails through this cable (5m to 10m) won't I pick up a lot of noise? Most of the CAT5 cables are unshielded.

If I run my digital ADAT signal in the same cable as the powersupply for my analog circuitry, won't that polute my supply rail aswell?. I mean, I would maybe not have a supplyrail and the digital signal in the same twisted pair, but the other cables are still close by.

EDIT: I expect currents of around 100mA per rail, nothing more than that. I read that CAT5 cables can handle a lot more.
