Ok, so I am looking for a new scope and I am confused in what to look for.
I have looked at some guides but I hope you guys could help me out.
My purpose: Typical hobby scope
-Max frequency up to 1MHz maybe
-Must have FFT
-No need for saving signals/printing them
-Must be able to represent signals accurately at all time ranges (if you know what I mean, not like 3 points/cycle or something)
-Must be 'cheap',
-I live in Canada so it is kind of hard to find deals up here, especially with shipping coming in the way
I am looking at:
Siglent SDS1052DL
http://www.tequipment.net/Siglent/SDS1052DL/Digital-Oscilloscopes/?v=7401vs Rigol DS1052E.
http://www.tequipment.net/RigolDS1052E.html?OrderItemId=1002249The only difference I see is that the Siglent has a much smaller memory, do I need this? Does this play a part in representing the wave at say 1s/Div?
The sampling rate on the Rigol is double which is great but are these features worth the extra $50 (I am looking at Telectronics)?
Are there any other good retailers I can look at for prices (I am also looking for a Soldering Station, Hakko FX888 or Weller WES51)?
Thanks.
