What does "short the test pin" mean? (oscilloscope)
(1/1)
TheMarineBiologist:
Hi!
I recently bought an old analog oscilloscope, that I am trying to calibrate. I am however asked to short the test pin in one of the steps.. And I am not really sure where the test pin is located and what to short it to.. Or are we talking about the probe and ground?
The manual and the question at hand can be found here under 5.2.2.2.a.

StillTrying:
When trace lines shift with the change of DC-GND-AC slide switch
Short the Test Pin and adjust VR6

It looks like it will be the probe tip and ground to be shorted to me. :-//
