My specs are 9V - 15V. My project requires Over voltage protection and reverse polarity protection. What is the "best" way to do this for a simple project? Do I design a circuit to check for this or do i just go with a chip that handles it?? |

PTCC + TVS may be a very simple solution, need more information |

Nominal load 1mA or 1kA? Overvoltage of 16V or 16kV? Reverse of -1V or -1kV? Is it a slow swell, fast transient, lightning surge, nuclear EMP? Once you know the voltage, current and time scales of the system, methods become apparent. :) Tim |

Is this a personal project, or does it have a commercial application? If the latter, does it have to meet any standards, for instance automotive standards? |

As above ... More information needed. |
