Panasonic DMR-XW350 dead
« on: March 04, 2024, 12:59:43 am »
Hi all,
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your community. I am working on a Panasonic DVR which is dead. I want to remove the main board to access the back of the components, however, the boards are interconnected with solid wire connectors, rather than ribbon cable. I cant see any way to disconnect them & I don't want to break them. You can see them in the picture. If anyone knows how they come apart, I would be forever grateful. Thank you in advance for your support & knowledge.

Page 47 of the service manual says they are connectors and can be disconnected.

I have unplugged that type of connector between PSU board and main board on Panasonic DVD recorders. You should be able to pull up part of the ends on the green PCB. The other ends remain soldered to the brown PCB but the wires will easily bend enough to remove the other one.
