Parallel & serial LC filter interchaneable?

I read in book that parallel and series LC resonator,can be both used as bandpass filter.This seems weird becose I read parallel LC resonator is band reject filter,not a bandpass filter.

Can you somehow make parallel LC resonator to act like bandpass filter? I take this one step further,can you make series LC resonator act like band reject filter?

The impedance of a parallel LC connection goes towards infinity at resonance, a series LC connection goes towards zero. I leave it up to you to connect the dots...
