I like KiCad. I switched from Eagle. I do not know what they are like, now that they switched to subscription based marketing. And, the on line vendor sites seem a little sketchy, to me. Who knows who is looking at your million dollar electronic idea. KiCad as a new version out, that's much improved. Free and Open Source. Check it out. Oh, KiCad is a serious tool, therefore the download is rather big, I hear... http://kicad-pcb.org/download/ |

Eagle is free and ok and simple.you find libraries for footprints everywhere.Diptrace is between eagle and pro solutions like Altium designer and can import eagle libs.My idea, try diptrace seems good or stay with eagle for hobby purposes. Get pro with Altium later (start diptrace, you get semi-pro then migrate). Kicad, allready been there, full of bugs with pages of explanation why this happened... That's your choices. If I were you, I'll go diptrace Regards, pierre Envoyé de mon iPad en utilisant Tapatalk |
