Title: PE on dual adjustable output supply
Post by: queennikki1972 on September 19, 2019, 01:40:05 pm
I know from the past I could use PE on the negative or positive side on a single output supply as an external option but this one is different.

In this example image provided, it shows each side of the center tapped transformer being positive and negative and sharing the center as ground when only using positive 30vdc or negative 30vdc and getting 60vdc across the + and - combined. My question is, where is PE in this scenario? Can you safely connect PE to the GND pin even though its technically the center of the transformer?

Im sure this has been covered but I must have missed it and wanted to provide the drawing to be sure my question was understood.

If the power supply is isolated you can connect PE (physical earth) anywhere.
