Please help recognize connector type
« on: June 22, 2019, 04:29:50 pm »
Good day,

I got my hands on a doll house for my girl. It think it's about 7+ years old. It has a led lighting system that uses unusual (for me) connectors - they look old like something Sony cameras used in pre-USB era. The problem is that one of the connectors is broken. I want to buy a new one and re-solder it. Can anyone recognize the connector type according to the attached pictures?

Thank you!

That looks like a common connector for cell phones.  I might even have some units or cables with that on it.  But they don't seem to use it any more.

Looks a little like the Sony 4 pin Mini-B connector.

Thank you! It was a good hint.
Further googling led me here: https://connector.pinouts.ru/4_pin_mini-usb-mini-B/
It looks exactly like what I have. Indeed quite challenging to find nowadays.

If someone knows the place that can ship such connector to Australia (or a sacrificial cable), I'll appreciate a link.

Thanks again!

The connector seems familiar to some small webcams such as l'espion mini II for data transfer.

If one can make knowledge flow than it will go from negative to positve , for real
