| Polarity on this laptop DC jack |

I want to measure if there is voltage between the DC jack and motherboard. This DC jack has 5 legs. Which is +? Which is -? What are the other ones, just support? https://www.dropbox.com/s/27etfzauw4wt669/dc-jack.jpeg? |

Looks rather obvious. For pins are connected, and one isolated. So I'd guess the connected ones are "-" and the left over "+" as this is most common. Might be reversed, that's what you use your DMM for to determine this. |

4 legs are connected to ground (-), it's quite obvious because they consist of single piece of metal. One leg separated with a piece of black plastic on the bottom right corner is +. |

Honestly it did look obvious to me too but I just wanted to make sure ;D |
