UNI-t UT219DS
« on: June 27, 2021, 10:53:40 pm »
I still choose a clamp meter, I have already seen reviews of ut208, ut210, ut216 and ut219ds, the latter for now is the one I liked the most, but I do not see the option to activate the NCV or it does not bring it, it would be crazy to think that That function does not have it! for the rest I have been quite satisfied with the reviews even though there are not many.

There are many more different clamp meters to choose from.
for example the UT210A is another meter then the UT210E, and the B, C and D variants also exist.

Another one I have in mind is the CEM DT3351, but it does not arrive in Argentina until the end of July, due to the country's problems.

The big selling factor for the UNI-T UT210E is that it allows measuring DC current with the clamp. This is very rare in that price class.  Most other clamp meters in that price class do only AC current with the clamp. Sometimes they may mention DC current but are using probe leads and not the clamp for DC. The other good news on the UT210E is that it is very popular so it has been thoroughly investigated and hacked. You can easily reprogram it to boost its resolution from from 2000 to 6000 count (more is possible but I would not recommend it) and change other things like backlight timeout, just have a look at the UT210E thread on this forum.

ok theHWcave, yesterday I got my hands on a CEM DT-3352 theHWcave, I'm just testing it, it really works great, I'm going to see what the price is in Argentina, since the tools began to be scarce  :'(, we have to see if the price really agrees, So far I have only tried the ut216c and now the DT-3352, this one I will have a week in my hands for testing >:D.

Hi Adrian_Arg.
yes the CEM DT-3352 is definitely many miles ahead of the UNI-T 210E. If the price is right for you, I'd go for it.
