Power OFF after processor enters power down mode.
« on: January 03, 2019, 04:40:59 pm »
Hi,
I have a processor Am5718 which uses a PMIC TPS65916. Processor has a power ON and Power OFF sequence. Now once i trigger a power off sequence to PMIC, it turns processor power off sequentially.

Now I have system power which needs to be turned of after Processor has turned OFF. It is controlled by a switch like LT2955. I need to assert kill pin OFF after processor has turned off. How to do this?? In do not have a board management controller to do this.

is it possible to turn off system power ?? I guess before entering PMIC OFF sequencing processor should trigger system turn off after a certain period (time duration should be sufficient to comfortably accommodate PMIC OFF sequencing)  kill should be asserted. Is it possible to implement without a controller or PLD??. I want to avoid  programming step here.
