powering up GPU card without laboratory psu
« on: November 11, 2022, 12:45:47 pm »
Hello guys,

i have a faulty GPU (RX580) no short on any rail but 12V blown fuses (8pin connector side), and no motherboard to plug it, No Vcore, but Core takes amps if i inject voltage right at the coils of the power stage. I have 3 lab psu at home, id like to track all voltages on the board (at this point, i target fault there : 1,8V output from GS7103 and Phase Driver pins from NCP81022).  Is feeding 12V rail, 12V bus rail (pcie) and 3.3V (pcie) with the PSUs to simulate the environment of the gpu is right ?

cheers
