| practical difference between SOD323 and SOD323F? |

Hello! I was buying some zeners and noticed that SOD packages generally come in two flavors: with and without 'F' suffix. The dimensions look virtually identical, the only difference I can spot is how leads are formed. On SOD323F they are straight, on regular SOD323 they are bent. I wonder why one would choose one option over another. Does one type of diodes provide more stress relief, better thermal contact, lower inductance and/or lower cost than another? Example pictures: - sod323: https://www.tme.eu/gb/details/udz6v8b-7/smd-zener-diodes/diodes-incorporated/ - sod323f: https://www.tme.eu/gb/details/bzx84j-b6v8.115/smd-zener-diodes/nexperia/ |

I think I can answer my own questions. SOD323F has much lower thermal resistance. Presumably because leads are shorter. |
