Good day all,
I have just installed LTSpice to simulate a couple of projects.
I'm finding it quite a powerful tool.
David did a demo video of how to get started using it, Very helpful.
I am unable to print properly to my laser printer.
All text and labels print Ok but components and wiring are very faint.
There is a "PRINT MONOCHROME" option in the file menu but this does not work correctly .
I can print Ok to my HP Colour / Color printer in either Colour or Mono Chrome.
I can print to Microsoft PDF writer and then print to the laser printer Ok but the pdf writer does not start automatically and I need to find the PDF file, open it, then print.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem.
I am heading to work soon and won't find your replies until tomorrow morning.

You could try changing the colour preferences, see if that makes a difference. For example white back ground with black lines and symbols
It's under tools-> color preferences

I have the same problem.
I normally export to EMF and print that.

I forgot to mention that I had already tried changing all colours to black using TOOLS ==> COLOR PREFERENCE ==> All colours 0,0,0.
This had no effect.
I also tried MS XPS writer.
Think I'll have to keep using MS PDF writer.
EDIT... is there a way to mirror a component, not rotate.
To keep the component Ie. an OP Amp facing the same way but to reverse the input positions.

I also tried changing the colours and the lines to thick but it had no effect on the printing.
Yes, whilst moving/placing a component ctrl+r rotates, and crtl+e mirrors. Beware that if you flip the op-amp upside down, the power supply pins will be reversed.

Attached 3 printed schematic in PDF using Bullzip PDF Printer, but on LTSpice XVII though :
1st Using the default color scheme
2nd As for testing, I changed the junction to red while component body to pink. :P
3rd As 2nd one, this time I changed the "wire" / connection line color to black.
The "wire" or connection line always printed at very thin line.

There is an excellent LTSpice group on Yahoo groups. A couple of the guys are true experts and are plugged in pretty tight with the author.

Tools/Control Panel/Drafting options/Pen thickness - would seem to be what you're looking for.

Nope, print result is still thin line, that setting doesn't affect print output, only at onscreen capture at copy to clipboard or write to EMF file.

Glad I'm not the only one with strange things happening
The only way I am able to get a clear print is to print to PDF or to my HP colour printer even as monochrome is ok.
Is it other printers that have the problem.
My laser printer is a BROTHER HL2140.

Not sure if I'm way off on this, but just using Print Preview - I can get a relatively clear view of the simulated traces/variables.
Is there anything wrong with just using the PDF--> Print? Are you just looking for a way around this?
I've usually just done the PDF route if my printer is having issues, would say this is on the less-than-ideal-but-it-works solution.
Anyone find how to get the traces fattened up?

If it were possible, I vote for EEV blog to absorb that group before Verizon kills it next year (still can't fathom why they turned-down the hefty offer from Microsoft 8 years ago).
