Problem with Fluke 28-ii
« on: December 09, 2012, 02:12:02 pm »
hi all!

i bought a? new 28 II and i checked the number of calibrations - surprisingly it showed 2 - is it possible that fluke calibrates new devices twice, before they are being sold? It bought it from an official fluke reseller here in Europe and they claimed this model to be not second hand.

can anyone help me?

thanks, and best regards from Austria
Dave

I wouldn't worry about it. It could easily be that the calibration expired before the meter was sold and the distributor recalibrated it.

after what time period a calibration usually expires?

are there any other significant signs to determine, if this meter is new or second hand?

shouldn't there be a certificate of calibration somewhere?!

cheers

usually a year or so there are cal labs in every country where you can get a certificate as for the original papers ask fluke with the serial number of your unit
