Is there any difference between dl2032 and cr2032 in terms of usage?

The dl2032 and cr2032 batteries are slightly different in terms of capacity, weight, and operating temperature. The former has a capacity of 235mAh, while the latter has a capacity of 225mAh. In addition, the dl2032 is 5g heavier than the cr2032 and has a wider operating temperature range.

The dl2032 and cr2032 are not so different that replacing them with each other will not cause any problems and they can be used universally. Although there are some variations, they do not have any significant impact on the battery characteristics. Both batteries offer the same nominal voltage and have almost similar capacities.

Although the dl2032 and cr2032 are very similar and almost universal. But dl2032 vs cr2032, the former is more suitable for high current consumption applications.

That's not quite correct. There are rechargeable and disposable Cr2032 btteries. A Rechargeable  2032 lithium will state on the battery case that it is rechargeable. If there is no rechargeable marking  then it is disposable. You should not attempt to recharge a disposable lithium battery.

Last time I really looked deep into rechargeable 2032 style coin cells the rechargeables were about 95mah vs. 225mah for the disposables. And as stated before a CR is a disposable, other prefixes indicate rechargeable although some said 'Replaces CR2032' etc.

CR and BR are not proprietary Panasonic naming, they’re the designations under the IEC designations for electrochemical systems: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_nomenclature

Tooki, you are right on the money with the LIR2032!!! That is exactly what we used on motherboards for bios backup and had a trickle charge circuit for when the unit was powered on.
