MIPI-DSI
« on: October 07, 2024, 11:18:22 pm »
I bought a Siglent SDS1104X-E over three years ago and I still haven't opened the box.  My very first electronics project is off to a very slow start.

I have recently thought more about resuming my efforts.  I began looking for an LCD to use in my project and found the one linked below that seems like it might be a good fit.  I was wondering though, when an electronics store shows an LCD pictured with a MIPI cable attached, does that mean the cable is included in the purchase?  Would it mean the cable is permanently attached or are those cables always removable?

Is it feasible for someone of low skill in electronics (but high skill in programming) to interface an Arm processor with an LCD using MIPI-DSI?  Or will that effort be problematic without specialized/expensive test equipment?

Hey, it means that when you get the right magical mood to dive into a project you won't have to wait days or weeks for it to arrive -- and lose the mood -- because it's sitting right there!
