| onyx:
Hello EEVblog, I have this EPROM chip (M27C2001-12C1 Datasheet) along with this programmer I purchased from eBay; I haven't had any success in getting the FlashCat USB software to recognize my chip. I believe the problem is that the FlashCat only supports up to 5V and the programming voltage of my chip is 12V. Does anyone know of a USB programmer and software that is compatible with my chip. I appreciate any kind of information/help I can get. :D Thanks! :D |

I didn't see that 27c device listed on the supported device list.. mfg says it's open to questions about other devices.. http://www.embeddedcomputers.net/contact/ |

I will probably return the programmer I ordered as it only supports up to 5V and the programming voltage of my chip is over 12V. Although I have emailed the mfg of the programmer for more help. |

Ask them and maybe they support some off-board charge pump to give you the gated 12.25v. Can't hurt. |

Got a reply back and they did not have a 12V programmer, they did refer me to a compatible chip but that was 5V. My main board supplies 12V so changing the chip wouldn't work. |
