I have tried a CA3140(mosfet input, bipolar output) and an ICL7611(CMOS) and both only seam to be able to sink less than 2mA. I removed R4 to make my circuit functional. I'd have to have a very high resistor value so there is enough margin to drive the pnp transistor. They can both source considerably more current.

Is this typical behaviour of these types of opamps?
