| LektroiD:
Hi, I just did a continuity check on my switching PSU but the ‘COM’ which I presumed to be common ground are not connected to each other and also isolated from the chassis of the PSU, I’m wondering if I should tie all the COM connections and the chassis to mains ground (is it safe to do so)? |
| bob225:
standard switch mode ? all the outputs are isolated and not reference on the dc-dc transformer - don't tie it to ground, and you don't really want it referenced to earth or the mains, that sort of defeats the filtering |
| LektroiD:
Yes, switch mode... So I'm guessing this is unusable for my purposes, as my power bus needs a common ground for all voltages... The +5V will not work from the COM of the +/-12V |

you can tie the outputs if you need to i imagine. nice selection of voltages, where did you get it and what's the output ratings? |

Specs: +5V 5A +24V 1A +/-12V 1A |
