(Sloved)Quality 9-30v powerbank?
« on: September 25, 2016, 04:23:15 pm »
Hi everyone.
I need a portable power for a project, the output 9-30v are all okay, and only need 0.5-1 amps max occasionally(normal current are lower), but all I can find online are Chinese rubbish, could anyone recommend me a quality one?
Thanks!

I've never heard the term "powerbank" used outside the scope of 5V ones used for charging USB-powered devices. What exactly do you have in mind and what stops you from using bare battery pack and implement the charging, voltage regulation and low voltage cutoff yourself within your project?

Also, speaking about "Chinese rubbish" does sound a bit silly these days...

Thanks, if they really don't exist, of course I can use a battery pack.
Admit or not, Chinese products are really low quality whatsoever...

You do realize that everything is made in China these days, right? Are you trying to say there are no good quality products available at all anymore?

Any wireless drill battery  and buck/boost converter will solve your problem.

I don't mean "made in China" is bad, of course there are many big brands manufacture things in China's factory, but it's totally different between "Chinese brand" and "Made in China".

Totally hear you on the quality of items from China (designed and manufactured). They are "designed" to maximize profit at the cost of quality. If they have an outside company looking over their shoulder and implementing QC (like Apple, DeWalt, etc. then quality is better, in most cases pretty good. In quite a few cases it's still worse than what was formerly made in the country that originally designed the product though.
