question about DC Load instrument
« on: August 29, 2019, 11:42:58 am »
It is possible to use a DC electronic Load in AC with a device using a suitably adapted diode bridge?
I didn't put the capacitor to level because I want to simulate a resistive load and have a PF = 1

Depends ...
The maximum input voltage of the DC load must be larger than the peak value of the AC source,
the DC load must operate in "R" (Resistance) mode (not "I" / constant current)
and the DC load internal circuitry must be fast enough to follow the rectified AC waveform - you should verify this using a current probe and a scope.
