Is the HP / Agilent DSO3062A Oscilloscope any good?
« on: February 08, 2012, 02:14:55 am »
I am a semi-beginner to electronics (first time using a non USB oscilloscope), and was wondering if this oscilloscope was any good.

Is 60 MHz enough for basic electronics work?

That's a rebadged Rigol 5000 series IIRC, which pre-dates the DS1052E by quite some time.
An OK scope, but only 4KB of sample memory.
You'd want to get it real cheap compared to the DS105E to make it worthwhile.

Dave.

That would make perfect sense because the UI looks exactly like the Rigol.

I will get the Rigol DS1052e then.

Does someone have the schematics for the VDO-2072A?

What kind of ADCs does this Agilent DSO3062A have?? Are there also those overclocked or multiplexed ADCs? Like at Rigol DS1052E?
Amazing machines. https://www.youtube.com/user/denha (It is not me...)

Can they be unlocked (frequency and features) like the newer dsoX2000/dsoX3000? I didn't find anything here on the forum. They were sold up to 200 MHz according to http://www.mhzelectronics.com/ebay/manuals/hp_dso3000-series_oscilloscope_datasheet.pdf.
